With four sacks through two games, White is one of the NFL's breakout stars this season. But his road to this point was a winding one.

FOXBOROUGH — Defensive tackle Davon Godchaux gets really quiet when he talks about second-year defensive end Keion White, so much so that you have to lean in to hear him. It’s like the veteran wants to make sure the rest of the NFL isn’t in on the secret.

Keion White recorded one sack during his rookie season with the New England Patriots. The versatile defensive lineman has since amassed four through two starts this fall.

The New England Patriots defeated the Cincinnati Bengals by a 16-10 score in Week 1. The early returns were strong for New England, especially on the defensive side of the football. One of the players who had a stellar game in particular was defensive end Keion White.

It did not take long for Keion White to make his presence felt in each of his first two seasons in the NFL. As a rookie second-round draft pick last year, the Georgia Tech product managed to hold his own on several occasions against stalwart Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson.

Keion White posted a career-high 2.5 sacks on Sunday, an indication that he's trending in the right direction.
