The crossing to Socorro is open ocean so there is movement, 1 out of ten crossings are like glass, 1 out of 10 crossings is quite rough and the remaining typically have some slight motion. Once we are tucked in behind an island and ready to dive, the ship is usually very stable. Trips meet in Cabo San Lucas where we have a hospitality suite and meet in the evening. It is a 24-26 hour crossing.

Sorry for taking so long to respond. I haven't been on Trip Advisor for a long time. Saying that you have 60 dives over 8 years really doesn't say much. It's not really the number of dives, but rather the type. Are you comfortable around big marine animals? Do you mind entering from a skiff? Have you used inflatable buoys on ascent for pick ups? Etc., etc. Contact an operator that makes trips out there and ask 100 questions. I would say my daughter is an intermediate diver, maybe 40-50 dives and had an amazing time. I on the other hand have been diving for 35+ years, with 100's of dives but struggled a bit at times, mostly due to my concern for, and keeping an eye on, my daughter. Regardless it's an amazing dive spot that should not be missed.
